The bass movement is a divisive one. Hell, even my own brain can’t decide whether I love them for gorgeous production and accessible melodies or deride them for a lack of soul intrinsic to organic instruments and live performance.
However, some artists blur the line; artists like Sepalcure. This track, entitled “Pencil Pimp” combines bass, warmth, wash, and soul in a way that’s as infectious as it is pensive. Enjoy the video, which I’ve titled “Worst !@#$ing Summer Camp Ever”.
